Frequent Questions (Accesses)

Why some collections do not have site usage indicators?

To compute the site usage data it is necessary that the log files must be send for processing. The absense of usage indicators must be notified for the coordinators of the specific SciELO collection.

The available period for each collection depends on the registered and available access logs. This project is committed to computing access data from 2012, as long as the logs are duly provided by the collections.

What is being counted?

The accesses to the full text, in any formats, are being counted using the Total Item Requests and Unique Item Requests metrics, according to the COUNTER R5 model.

The access indicators are updated every five days.
